We sent Kingsley to the full day childcare on 18 feb 13. We were on 3 days leave to accompanied him through this transition.
Day 1 was a half day program, in the morning we sent him in and initially he was quite happy with all the toys and the new environment. Subsequently he became very worried about us leaving, he kept following behind me, pulled my shorts and asked me to bao (carry in Chinese). This sent tears to my eyes seeing his innocent face. I kept telling myself is for his good to learn and interact with other kids. We left at about 10 plus and let him stayed until 12 plus. We were told by the teachers that he was ok after we left, just occasionally sobbing.
Day 2 we picked him up at 3. In the morning when we left the childcare he was wailing. Later in the morning he was ok and they even went to the bukit merah library. But he didn't sleep a wink. :( which makes him super cranky in the evening.
Day 3 the school had a lunar new year celebration which is the lion dance, all parents are invited. Kingsley love lion dance so we were there to share his fun.
Day 4 was an improvement in his nap time he manage to sleep for 10 mins. Teacher told us the rest of his time he spent on chatting with them and patting his little friends back to sleep, like their little helper.
Day 5 he managed to sleep for 20 mins. Happy that he is adapting to the childcare.
Daddy and mummy hope that next week you can happily bid us goodbye.

Happy 18 months!!
It has been awhile since I update the blog.. A lot of back logs that I wish to post, shall be more active from now.
How fast, Kingsley is already 18 months and next week he will be embarking on his new journey; going to the childcare. We hope he can adapt to the new environment, have fun learning and interacting with little friends.
His milestones:
1) Adding more words to his vocabulary (ball, bubble)
2) Almost all his teeth are out or emerging.
His motor skills - running, kicking and throwing.
